Crucial Fix to Cluster Mailboxes
Newer, restricted-access HOAs with cluster mailboxes(MBs) or otherwise without roadside MBs: Newer = Longevity: curbs mildew-free with clean landscaping away from curbs. I saw ones I did look new 10 years later.Restricted Access = access to service by usual door fliers. Seeing new curbs and no #s, they wouldn't bother anyway.HOAs - nobody else can get 100% done. Uniformity, sequential addressing, 100% location ID. Drivers see that all are done, so no wasted time scanning entire house fronts. No soliciting = 70% less time = 70% less cost & more effective per prior sentence.Cluster MBs give unmatched mail security, but addressing gap. Curb Numbers fix & give the closest, most unobstructed view.MB addressing is the only alternative that even comes close to being as effective. And Curb Numbers pros beat MB #s 6-0 here:1) Drivers don't know which of the two sides (or front) of the mailbox to expect to see the numbers on. 3 choices vs 1.2) Curb Number colors are always the most contrasting & always the same size and font if all done. MB #s colors often blend in.3) All-inclusive service for the community can be done in a day, ensuring 100% identification.4) Adjacent neighbors having visible roadside numbers helps yours be found - just one bad MB# ruins this.5) With 100% done, drivers see this so can focus on the curb 100% knowing the address they seek will be on the curb.6) MB#s cost 2-3 times as much Both curb and mb #s will get blocked from view at times, so having both means they can each serve as a backup view when the other is blocked. Which is why I didn't number this entry nor put in red - it's a plus for both. But doesn't count as plus for either as it requires having the other.I'm, not against MB#s, in fact I'm for them, esp roadside ones. It's just that I'm for curb #s more because of the 6 advantages listed.
